Home / An interior designer’s home in Georgetown

Earlier this summer, with toasted focaccia and fig mint lemonades in tow, I sat down with my friend Sara of @storiecollective for a little lunch in her remarkable Georgetown home. Sara has become a dear friend and resource over the past couple of years, and I deeply admire her eye and discernment. Her home is a sophisticated snapshot of what Storie does so well: design layered with craft, honor, and texture, with a reverence that feels one of a kind.

As a DC-based realtor with a background in architecture & photography, homes like these totally light me up, and spending time in them reminds me of why I do this job exactly how I’ve chosen to do it. After lunch, I captured a few photos of her space to better understand the details: the way the light falls across each surface and folds around the corners, or how her delightful collection of vintage pieces harmonize with contemporary finds. Sara did a masterful job of renovating the space to support her family while cherishing the home’s soul – a beautiful picture of what’s possible with intelligent, graceful design.

If you are searching for a similar, architecturally-refined home, send me an email – I’d be delighted to connect on how I can bring your vision to life.
