Notes from Middleburg

I seem to be in Middleburg quite often these days! And I am not complaining – it’s both a simple but glamorous corner of our world, and only about an hour’s drive from DC. I usually visit in the fall or winter, which pairs nicely with a visit to a winery and antiquing nearby, but the summer is lush and lovely. Here are some of my favorite moments to inspire your next visit:

My recommendations:
Red Fox Inn for dinner, or an overnight stay (ideally both!)
Every Little Something, Bedford Lee, Creme de la Creme, and Federal & Black for cute little things
Middleburg Books
Tremelo for lunch or dinner, & wine
Knead for pizza & wine
Castle Gallery (a gallery opening my friend Catherine opens Winter 2025!)
Middleburg Antique Gallery and Hastening Antiques & Design for antiques

Nearby: Oatlands Historic House & Garden, The Paradise, & Baileywyck Antiques
On my wishlist: Red Schoolhouse Antiques, The Salamander, & Goodstone Inn
