Notes from Leesburg, Virginia

I do love a jaunt to Leesburg on a Saturday afternoon. Just about an hour’s drive from DC, the downtown historic district is perfectly sized for an early lunch and an afternoon bite before heading home, and there are a few stops nearby worth seeing if you have time to make a day of it.

In Leesburg:
Buford Biscuits for lunch or brunch
Goosecup for a chic coffee (Sidecar is also cute)
Hotel Burg for a cocktail or a rest in their lobby
Wldwst and Creme de la Creme for shopping
27 South

Nearby:
Oatlands House & Garden
The Old Lucketts Store
On a Whim Antiques
Elsass Furnishings
Blue Hydrangea
Stone Tower Winery
Rocklands Farm Winery
Bluemont Vineyard
The Ekster Antiques Barn Sale (only happens twice a year)
