Brief
Originally I had planned to host my birthday dinner on my building’s rooftop, which has a gorgeous communal table and a view of the Capitol. But, when the weather decided to douse the city with a heavy rainstorm during the hour we needed to set the table, I was grateful that our building had a beautiful, indoor amenity space available as a backup for the festivities! We grouped small tables together to create one long table, which served as a canvas for flowers from Trader Joe’s, food from my favorite places for takeout in the city, and conversation that stretched well into the evening. I am grateful for the hands who stepped in upon arrival to make this vision come to life!
