Clean & bright in Logan Circle
When this home came on the market, it jumped out at me for a few reasons – first, the seller had worked with local legends Thomson Cook & WT Construction, and their work is quite sought after. The seller also worked with Heidi Callier Design, a famous PNW-based interior designer, via The Expert to help with some of the decor choices and paint selection. Together, this home has quirk and charm in a way that feels soft and approachable. The light hits it just right in every room, and I felt myself wanting to sample everything, especially those Nickey Kehoe chairs in the living room. This is a home that is an “easy yes” for a lot of the buyers I work with – it’s move in a ready, a great location, and feels one of a kind, while still feeling relatable.

This home didn’t have a formal dining room, but instead a chic and sophisticated dining area adjacent to a large kitchen. I’m bookmarking the layout for clients who feel like they “have” to have a formal dining area, and are struggling to envision how the flow might work without one.
Another piece I thought this home did so well? The paint colors. I loved the putty pink in the primary bedroom, and the creamy yellow on the kitchen cabinets. It shows that the options aren’t between “neutral” and “wallpaper throughout,” but instead there is so much nuance in between. I love any excuse to bring my Farrow & Ball swatch decks along for a showing, but this home doesn’t need it!
