A designer’s rowhome in Georgetown
When I first saw this Georgetown home come on the market, I nearly leapt out of my seat – but instead swiftly moved around my Saturday plans for a visit, knowing it would sell over the weekend. The inside felt warm, collected, and loved, which tracked once I learned that the interior stylist Matthew Quill had designed and styled the space throughout his tenure there. Pro tip: if you don’t want to hire a designer, buy a home that a designer has lived in so that you reap all of the benefits of their thinking. This home was unique for the price point in Georgetown, and I haven’t seen many like it come around since.

This home proved to me that very petite kitchens can still be well detailed and glamorous with the right choice of materials. I was taking notes for my buyers the entire time I was inside – I also appreciated how instead of two proper bedrooms on the second floor, one large bedroom was used as a dressing room + office. A lesson in knowing how you actually want to use your space, and designing it accordingly!
