Vision, location, & style guide

This guide contains tips, tricks, and ideas to help us curate a shared vision for your photography session. Treat this guide as a source for inspiration – and feel free to take the vision in any direction that suits your story!

A few tips!

On location:

Allow your looks and the location to work together and to serve one another! The synergy between the two can truly help a vision come to life. Feel free to use the resources below as a guide, or if you see a photo or two on the Pinterest board that resonates with you, send it my way and we can build the vision from there.

Select a location (or two, if you have booked a longer session) that honor your story as a couple or as a family – this is an opportunity to capture you in your element within the places that mean the most to you, or to create a fun new memory!

On style:

Go with the flow! I love to incorporate movement into my photography, so choose fabrics and looks that lend themselves to comfort and (some) motion.

Test for comfort – be sure you are comfortable sitting, standing, and spinning in your look.

I recommend keep patterns to a minimum, if possible. If wearing patterns, think about keeping the two outfits within a similar color range so that it feels cohesive.
