Mason & Greens
DC is not necessarily known for its shopping, but every once in a while, a little star is born. Mason & Green is one of those surprises - tucked humbly along King Street in Old Town Alexandria, this little shop specializes in sustainable goods, package free items, and local produce.
My favorite aspect of this shop is how they maintained so much of the character of the original space - it very much feels like a rowhome, with fresh flowers lining the entryway, gleaming hardwood floors, a bay window that soaks the space in light, and rooms dedicated to specialty products. It’s a shop you’ll want to linger in for an afternoon.
