Couples sessions

Whether you are preparing for a wedding or simply looking to capture the season you are in, these portrait sessions are a beautiful way to commemorate this chapter of life together. Available as a shorter 1-hour session or a 3-hour adventure session, we will partner together to craft and capture a vision that memorializes the essence of your story. Sessions with me are architectural, honest, and adventurous, and I work best with couples who trust me to capture candid, sincere images through adventurous, wholehearted prompts.

In 2024, I am only taking on a limited number of couples each month so that I can deliver a more complete, full-service experience.

My Style

Editorial
I am inspired by fashion and design – the way we tell stories through materiality and movement is a motive I am always exploring in my work.

Architectural
Since formally studying architecture in college, moving to DC, and traveling around Europe for the better part of a year, I have found that my style is highly informed by an appreciation for beautiful spaces with soul.

Evocative
This won’t feel like a posed or formal session because I’ll only ask you to “look at me and smile” perhaps once, if that; I rely heavily on emotions, physical touch, and movement to capture the true spirit of your story.

What to Expect

Confirmation
I’ll ask you to sign a contract and submit a deposit for 50% of the session cost; the remainder is due before delivery of the final gallery.

Brainstorm + set the vision
You’ll receive a style + location guide that will help you and your partner begin to craft a vision for our time together; if you have selected a longer adventure session, I will ask you to select a few photos that resonate with you from a Pinterest board and will also send you a quiz to fill out together. Based on your selected images and responses, I will curate a custom mood board and itinerary to guide the vision for our time together.

Shoot Day
When the magic happens! I will guide you through everything you need to do to achieve the vision we’ve established together.

Editing + Delivery
You can expect the final gallery about three weeks after we meet. You’ll receive full access to the gallery, so you can print and download as many as you’d like! I deliver about 75 photos per hour of shooting.

Types of Sessions

1-hour
Keep it simple with one location and no outfit changes. You’ll receive access to a vision and location guide to help you narrow in on where you’d like to spend our time together.

3-hour adventure session
A comprehensive, all-inclusive session throughout the city, with multiple locations and opportunities for outfit changes. This is perfect for couples who want to capture a few distinct moments. After booking, I’ll send you some resources to review, and will build a mood board and custom itinerary for you that reflects different elements of your story. Adventure sessions include travel between locations as well as snacks, meals, and beverages along the way.
