Historic homes to visit in the DMV

One of my favorite activities is to visit a historic house museum, and there are a good number to see in our area – though I will forever envy the sheer number you can visit in the English countryside, and our landscape isn’t even a drop in the bucket comparatively. A historic house visit pairs nicely with a long lunch in the sunshine and a visit to an antique shop or two; truly, that is my recipe for a perfect day. Below, some of my most recommended!
